Henry Harris/Sarah Sumner

I need help solving a mystery. Henry Harris and his wife Sarah Jane Sumner and their children moved to Adair County from Henry County, Illinois between 1860 and 1870. Henry was born in Ohio. They are listed on the 1870 and 1880 censuses in Adair County. On the 1900 census, Sarah had moved to Union County and listed herself as a widow with 3 of her 12 children still at home (Fred, Walter and Blanche). But Henry's headstone in Greenfield Cemetery shows his date of death as April 14, 1903, 3 years after Sarah already listed herself as a widow. Does anybody have any information on this family? Their other 9 children were: John, Sarah (buried in Illinois), Pauline, Emma, Ella, Mary, Dolly, Ettie and Carrie. Thanks.
