My ggggrandfather, Charles Phelps Fletcher died while in Adair County in July 1883. Although he lived in Ohio he owned property in Adair County. He may haved lived in Adair around 1870. I have found him in census 1850,1860 and 1880 in Ohio. BUT, I have not found him anywhere in 1870. His son, Chester B. Fletcher went to Adair Co. in 1903 to put a stone on his grave and take pictures of the gravesight. How can I find out if he is buried there? Or if he owned property there as I have read? Thank you!
