Patrick Garin family notes.
Patrick & Mary (Dwyer) Garin
lived on next farm to Michael & Margaret Garin in
Harpers Ferry.
I'm pretty sure that Michael & Patrick were
brothers.
Patrick Garin was born 1813, Cty
Limerick, Ireland & died Oct. 18, 1911. He is
buried
at Paint Rock cemetery. He married Mary Dwyer in 1849
and came to America during potato famine days in
Ireland. They lived near Maysville, Kentucky. Mary
was born 1827-30 in Cty
Limerick, Ireland. She died Sept. 1, 1904 & is
buried in Paint Rock cemetery.
Their children:
- Mary Ann - Jan 16, 1850 - April 9,
1918. Buried in Paint Rock cemetery. Mary Ann married
Michael Walsh / Welsh & they lived in Fairview
twp. Allamakee co.
- Margaret - born 1856, died in the 1920's & is
buried in Anoka, Minn.
- Catherine (Kate) F. - Feb. 27,1859 in Harpers
Ferry, Iowa & died Sept. 21, 1912. She is buried
in Paint Rock cemetery. She never married.
- Joseph Garin - born 1862 & died after 1920. He
is buried in Minneapolis, Minn. He married Sarah
Cunningham. They lived in the Minneapolis area, he
being employed by the railroad.
- Thomas F.- born 1865 & died Oct. 2, 1947,
buried Paint Rock cemetery. He married Kate Hefferan.
- John William (1866 - after 1920). He is buried in
Anoka, MN. Worked on the Railroad. John married
first, Mary Ann Randolph and second Elizabeth Scott.
John & Mary Ann had the following children: Anna
Marie (June 29, 1894-Feb. 23, 1979); Thomas William
(April 26, 1896 -Oct. 1, 1978); twin daughters, Sarah
Catherine (Nov. 15, 1897-June 16, 1899) &
Catherine Cecelia (Nov. 15, 1897-Feb. 9, 1973) and
John Edward (Oct. 15, 1899 - Oct. 16, 1899)
