J. Harold & Zeraph (Hedstrom) Lindblom, 50th Anniversary

John Harold Lindblom, son of J.R. and Minnie (Anderson) Lindblom, was born December 12, 1900 and died June 6, 1980. He married Zeraph V. Hedstrom on March 17, 1925, in Minneapolis, MN. Zeraph, daughter of Peter & Mathilda (Englund) Hedstrom, was born December 22, 1904 in Michigan and died June 17, 1998. Harold & Zeraph are buried in the Center Baptist cemetery, Center township.

Clair Harry Gilbert was born June 2, 1885, in Iowa, the son of Egbert V. 'Bert' & Eva (Green) Gilbert. He was married to Mildred Brown, ca1908. Mildred, born January 30, 1887, was the d/o Scott & Ellen (Snyder) Brown. Clair was a telegraph operator for many years in Ossian, Military twp. Winneshiek co. His 1918 draft registration gives his employer as the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad. Clair & Mildred retired to Rosemead, El Monte twp. Los Angeles co., CA between 1935 & 1940. Mildred died March 21, 1967 in California. Some records indicate that Clair died in the early 1940's. This is yet to be confirmed, as is their burial place.

Darrell C.& Esther Gilbert with daughters Diane (R) & Elaine (L)

Darrell C. Gilbert, son of Clair H. Gilbert & Mildred Brown, was born March 9, 1910 in Winneshiek co. Iowa. He died February 22, 1985 in LaCrosse, WI. Darrell married Esther B. Brandt ca 1936. Esther, daughter of Simon & Augusta (Nolte) Brandt, was born December 19, 1912. They had 2 daughters, Diane and Elaine. Darrell served 2 years as a refrigeration man in the U.S. Navy Seabees during WWII. He operated Gilbert's Ambulance Service in Waukon from about 1944 until he retired in December 1977. Esther died on August 14, 1965.

Darrell was later married Mary Daman of Harper's Ferry. Mary died in 2002.

Darrell & Esther are buried in Oakland cemetery, 1920 Addition.

John Lindblom, son of J. Harold & Zeraph V. Lindblom, married Diane Gilbert, daughter of Darrell & Esther Gilbert in 1959. The couple moved from Waukon to Wheaton Illinois in 1962.
