More than Half of Iowa WACs Have Immediate Kin in Service

Des Moines - More than 50 per cent of Iowa women serving in the Women's Auxiliary corps come from families which has at least one other member on the service.

Corp. Bessie A. Zousel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Zousel of West Branch, is a cook at the air base, Spokane, Wash. She enlisted last February.

WEST BRANCH WAC ON THE JOB -- Special orders technical assignments are handled by WAC Cpl. Bessie Zousel during the course of her duties at the Hill field base headquarters of the Ogden (Utah) air service command. Cpl. Zousel is the daughter of Mrs. Emma M. Zousel of West Branch.

IN THE SERVICE

Cpl. Bessie Zousel of the Women's Army corps has been transferred from Ogden, Utah, to Monmouth, N.J. and she is pending two days enroute with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Zousel of West Branch, and friends in Cedar Rapids.
