WAVE of the Day

Miss Elizabeth Lenore Worley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Worley, 220 West Thirty-first street, Davenport, has enlisted in the WAVES.

Miss Worley is a graduate of Davenport high school, class of 1938, and prior to her enlistment, had a secretarial position at the American Machine & Metals Inc.

She will leave for Hunter college, New York, in October.

A group of WAVE recruits from this area left the Rock Island recruiting station early today for Hunter college, New York, for a six week indoctrination course.

Announcement is made by Mr. and Mrs. George R. Worley, 220 West Thirty-first street, Davenport, of the marriage of their eldest daughter, Miss Elizabeth Worley, to Jack A. Ragan, son of Mrs. Margaret Ragan and the late W.D. Ragan of Jackson, Miss. Vows were spoken in Ellston, Md.

Mrs. Ragan is a SK 1/c and has served in the navy four years. She was graduated from the Davenport high school and was formerly employed at American Machine & Metals, Inc. East Moline. Mr. Ragan is a BM 2/c and has been in the navy six years. They are both stationed in Philadelphia.
