Betty Catherine Wirt, seaman, first class, in the WAVES, has completed her training at Hunter college in New York and has been assigned to radio school at Miami university in Oxford, Ohio. She is the daughter of Mrs. Flo E. Wirt, 821 Nineteenth st.

Miss Betty Catherine Wirt, radioman, third class, WAVES, received her discharge from the service Sept. 21 at Treasure Island, Cal. and has returned to Des Moines. She is the daughter of Mrs. Flo E. Wirt, 821 Nineteenth st.

BETROTHAL ANNOUNCED

Mrs. Flo E. Wirt, 821 Nineteenth st, announces the engagement of her daughter, Betty Catherine, and Chief Petty Officer Robert E. Dillon, U.S.C.G, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Dillon, 15152 Jefferson st. Miss Wirt is employed at Standard Oil. Mr. Dillon is stationed aboard the U.S.S. General Robert L. Howze.
