Twenty Des Moines women were graduated Saturday from the Navy’s general indoctrination school for WAVES at Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls, Ia.
Some of the graduates will be sent to one of the 13 schools in the nation now being used by the WAVES for advanced training. Others may be immediately assigned to active duty where qualified for such service.

Roberta Williams, yeoman, third class in the WAVES, arrived last week on leave to visit her parents, Dr. and Mrs. C.D. Williams, 2323 Fortieth st. Yeoman Williams is stationed at Washington, D.C. where she is assigned to the vice chief of naval operations.

Dr. and Mrs. C.D. Williams, 2323Fortieth st., are leaving today for Washington, D.D., where they will spend 10 days with their daughter, Miss Roberta Williams, yeoman, second class of the WAVES. Dr. and Mrs. Williams son, Corp. Charles Williams, now is serving with the U.S. army in Australia.

Roberta Queen, yeoman, first class in the WAVES, on duty in Washington, D.C., is spending her Christmas leave with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. C.D. Williams, 2323 Fortieth st. Her husband is with the navy in England, and her brother, Corp. C.H. Williams is in New Guinea.
