An army nurse looking forward to assignment to an overseas unit in the near future is Lt. Aurelia A. Willers, now spending a 10-day leave with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Accola, 3011 Indian road.
Lt. Willers was commissioned on August 23 of this year, and received her "basic" training at Camp Carson, Colo. For the past five weeks she has been stationed at Schick General hospital, Clinton.
Lt. Willers husband, Technical Fifth Grade Helmuth H.Willers, has been overseas since May of this year and is now serving in France. He entered the army 14 months ago.

The promotion of army nurse Aurelia A. Willers to the rank of first lieutenant was revealed today. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Accola, 3011 Indian Rd.
Lt. Willers, who was engaged in nursing at St. Luke's; hospital before entering service, is a surgical nurse with a general hospital in France. She has been overseas since December.
Her husband, T/5 Helmuth H. Willers, serving with the army engineers is now located somewhere in the Pacific after being station in the European theater about a year. The couple met at the Riviera early in July for their second reunion overseas. The first was in Paris last April.
Lt. Willers has been in service with the nurse corps a year.

Services for Aurelia A. Willers, 64, of 904 E. 15th St. Davenport, will be a 1 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Runge Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Zion Church, of which she was a member; American Cancer Society; Mooseheart; or Ridgecrest Retirement Village healthwing, Davenport, where she died Wednesday after an extended illness.
She had been a director of nursing at Ridgecrest healthwing. She earlier had been a registered nurse for Davenport Community Schools.
Aurelia Accola married Helmuth Willers in 1942 in Davenport.
She served in the Nurse Corps of the Army during WWII.
She was a member of Davenport Moose Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James (Karen) Pfeiff, Lewisburg, W.Va.; a son, Gary, Bartlesville, Okla.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Ursela Henning, and a brother, Jackson Accola, both of Davenport.
