Mrs. F.D. Wertman of Carlisle, Ia., announces the secret marriage of her daughter, Lieut. Maud Olive Wertman, and Lieut. James D. Transue of Lancaster, Penn. The marriage took place May 31 at Midland, Tex. The bride is a graduate of Iowa State college at Ames, Ia., where she became a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She now is a hospital dietitian at Midland Army air field. Lieutenant Transue is an instructor of bombardiers at Midland.
