Miss Genevieve Wendlandt, 237 North Clinton street, has received her commission and appointment as second lieutenant on the U.S. army nurses corps reserve. She will report April 1 for indoctrination at the O'Reilly General hospital at Springfield, Mo.
In 1935 Miss Wendlandt received her B.A. degree with a major in science from the University of Dubuque, and in the same years she was graduated from the University of Iowa school of nursing. For the past four years she as been head nurse and instructor in the fever therapy unit of the physical therapy department of the University hospitals.
During the past year she conducted two classes in home nursing under the auspices of the American Red Cross association. She also served as president of the Kappa Psi alumnae Association and as secretary of the Wesleyan Service guild of the Davenport district.

Lt. Genevieve Wendlant, supervisor of the veterans' hospital at Topeka, Kan., has received her discharge and is on terminal leave until Feb. 1. She is visiting her father, Rev. B.A. Wendlandt.
