Pfc. Mary A. Wells

 

Marine Reserve

Miss Mary A. Wells, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wells, 610 East Eighth street, Davenport, will leave Monday for New River, N.C., where she will begin her preliminary training for the Marine Corps Women's Reserve.

Miss Wells is a graduate of Davenport high school, class of 1941, and has been employed in the office of the Zoller Brewing Co.

Pfc. Mary Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wells, 610 East Eighth street, Davenport, is spending a 15-day furlough with her parents.

She entered the Women's marine corps June 23, 1943, and received her boot training at Camp Lejeune, New River, N.C., where she will return March 1 to be stationed in the post exchange

Before entering the service, Pfc. Wells was employed at the Zoller Brewing Co.

Cpl. Mary Wells Receives Release From Marine Corps

Cpl. Mary A Wells, USMC, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wells, 610 East Eighth street, has received her discharge from the marine corps at the Camp Lejuene, N.C., separation center.

Miss Wells entered the service in June, 1943, received her training at Camp Lejeune, and was stationed there as a transfer clerk in the personnel office of the Headquarters Marine Training Command until her discharge.
