Coon Rapids Girl Joins Army Air Service Command
Ethel Weitkamp, daughter of Mr and Mrs O.J. Weitkamp of Coon Rapids, has joined the army air service command. For the past month, she has been in training at the army air force school in Omaha. She left last night for the west coast where she has been assigned to the overseas supply unit.
During the past two years, she has been teaching in the rural school of Carroll county. She attended Wartburg college, Waverly, during the summer of 1942 and '43.
