Cresco WAC Among 1st to Reach Paris
Cresco -- Among the 5 Iowa WACs to arrive in Paris a week after that city was liberated by the allies was Pfc. Emma May Weathers, daughter of Mrs. R. McAndrews of Cresco
Upon their arrival in Paris the women were assigned to various positions as telephone operators, statisticians, secretaries, draftswomen and jeep drivers, as their service in the war effort.
