31 Women Leave to Join WAVES
This is the first large group of WAVES to depart for training from the Des Moines navy recruiting office. The 31 women left Thursday noon. Seventeen will attend the yeoman school at Oklahoma A. and M. college, Stillwater, Okla.; the rest will enter the storekeeper school at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, Ind.
