Bertha Ione “Ione” Thomas Swedlund was born Sept. 15, 1917 to Mark A. and Elsie Bisig Thomas. She died Aug. 21, 1974 and is buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
Lt. Thomas served in World War II with the Army Nurse Corps at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, CO. She was married to Ronald E. Swedlund.
