Our Neighbors in Service
Lt. Shirley A. Stanford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Stanford of Peterson, who has been stationed in the European theater of war, is now on her way to another war zone. Lt Stanford expects to cross the United States and hopes for a delay en route to visit her parents. She recently had a 30 day leave while in England and toured England, Ireland and Scotland, visiting relatives in Scotland.

Shirley Ardith Stanford Kearns was born Oct. 30, 1921 to David L. and Agnes Elliot Stanford. She died Aug. 25, 1995 in PA.
Shirley served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
