Misses Mary Jane Shatto and Lillian Mae Stull, Moline City nurses, are leaving this week to become army nurses.
Miss Shatto, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shatto, 311 Sixteenth avenue, Moline, is appointed to Lawson General hospital, Atlanta, Ga., with the relative rank of second lieutenant in the regular army nurse corps service.
Miss Stull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Stull, Davenport, will got to Camp Custer, Battle Creek Mich., in the regular army nurse corps reserve with relative rank of second lieutenant.
Both nurse were graduated from the City hospital school of nursing in 1940. Miss Shatto has been supervisor of the fourth floor the last nine months. Miss Stull has been night supervisor of the newborn nursery for 11 months. Before that she was assistant surgical supervisor for seven months.
