Marie Seitz, W. Diekmann Are Engaged
Revealed Thursday was the engagement of Miss Marie Arlene Seitz, Wave specialist quartermaster third class, daughter of George Seitz, 521 Leland avenue, to Walter Diekamann, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.H Diekmann, 9010 Logan Avenue.
The bride-elect was employed here by Palace Clothiers prior to entering the service in August, 1943. She received her basic training at Hunter college, N.Y., and has since been stationed at Washington, D.C., to which she returned Wednesday after a seven-day leave in Waterloo.
Mr. Diekmann attended Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls for two years and last year was a student in chemical engineering at Iowa Tate college in Ames. He is now employed in the chemical laboratories of the John Deere Tractor Co.
No date has been set for the wedding.

RECOVERING
Wave Marie Arlene Seitz, specialist quartermaster second class, show was taken ill a week ago with tonsillitis while en route from Washington, D.C. to Waterloo to visit her father, George E Seitz, 321 Leland avenue, and who was taken to sick bay at the Wave station Cedar Falls, Thursday was reported to be recovering satisfactorily. She expects to be released from the hospital Monday and will return to Washington, D.C. Monday evening.
