ENLISTS IN WAVES -- Miss Margery J. Randall, daughter of Atty. and Mrs W.D. Randall, 401 West Fourth street, has enlisted for service in the WAVES and is expecting a call soon to begin her boot training at Hunter College in New York. She completed her enlistment at Des Moines.
Miss Randall, who graduated from the University of Iowa in 1942, where she received Phi Beta Kappa honors, was an instructor in the Morning Sun schools last year.

GRADUATE -- Margery J. Randall, received the rating of yeoman, third class, when graduating exercises for a class of WAVES which completed training at Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls, were held over the weekend on the college campus.
Yeoman Randall is spending several days visiting at the home of her parents, Atty. and Mrs. W.D. Randall, 501 West Fourth street, before reporting to her new assignment.

PROMOTED IN RANK
Margery J. Randall, serving in the WAVES in the United States Naval Reserve, has been promoted from the rank of yeoman, third class, to yeoman, second class, according to word received by her parents Atty. and Mrs. W.D. Randall, 501 West Fourth street.
Yeoman Randall, assigned to the courtmartial office, receiving station, Navy Yard, Washington , D.C. has been stationed in Washington since February, 1944.

Margery Jeanne Randall Brugman was born Aug. 29, 1920 to William D. and Margaret N. Duggan Randall. She died Feb. 21, 1997 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Nichols, IA.
Margery served with the U.S. Navy WAVES in World War II. She was married to Stephen Wendalin Brugman. Stephen served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
