Miss Mamie Pieper, R.R. No. 1, Bettendorf, will leave Tuesday for Fort Des Moines where she will join the army as a Red Cross nurse. Miss Pieper is a graduate of the Moline public hospital and has been engaged in private duty nursing.

Lieut. Mamie Pieper of the army nurses corps, who has been stationed at the San Antonio Army Aviation Cadet center at San Antonio, Tex., for the last 13 months, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Herman Tushaus of Route No. 1, Bettendorf, during her 30-days leave.
Lieut. Pieper, who has been a registered nurse for ten years, is a graduate of the nurses training school of the Moline City hospital.
