Waterloo had two new members of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps in training Tuesday at Fort Des Moines, Ia. – Miss Edna Moselle Myers, of 2515 Falls avenue and Miss Helen Page, 946 Walnut street. Both will take basic training at the first WAAC training center before assignment to other courses and active duty.

Helen M. Page, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sewall Page, 946 Walnut street, will be inducted into the WAACs at Fort Des Moines, Nonday. Miss Page has taught at the Washburn school for the past two years. She is a graduate of Waverly High school and has attended Iowa State teachers college.

Waterloo Wac Weds Corporal
Mrs. Sewell Page, 946 Walnut street, announced today the marriage of her daughter, Wac Pfc. Helen M. Page, to Cpl. Alfred A. Schleper of Fort Wayne, Ind., which took place June 3 in the post chapel at Camp Wolters, Tex.
The bride attended Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls and taught in the Washburn, Ia. school before enlisting in the Woman's Army corps, Mar. 13, 1943. She received basic training at Fort Devens, Mass. and is now stationed at Camp Wolters as a cadre member of a special training unit.
Corporal Schelper is stationed at Camp Clairbonre, La., with a medical unit at the station hospital.
