MISS NIELSEN JOINS WAVES
Virginia Nielsen, 20, only child of Mr. and Mrs. George Nielsen, 5870 S.E. Nineteenth st., has been sworn into the WAVES and is awaiting call to duty. She will be sent to Stillwater, Okla., for training.
Miss Nielsen was a drum major in the band at North high school, where she was graduated in 1940, and hopes to get into the WAVES band if one is formed. She has been employed in the auditing department of The Register.
