Service Men, Women Enjoy Dinner Party
Greene -- Robert Neal and Richard Peret, both chief petty officers in the navy, left for New York Monday, after a brief visit with Mr. Neal's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Neal at Greene.
Both men were with the Flying Tigers and joined the navy when the 'Tigers" disbanded. Harriet Neal, a member of the WAVES who was recently transferred to Cedar Falls, and Anne Neal, who is taking nurses' training at Ottumwa, were also home on furlough.
A dinner honoring the group was held at the O.J. Richman home.
Mr. Richman, who recently received his call to the army, will go to Camp Dodge Friday.

United States Cadet Nurse
Having completed the major part of her nurse’s training at Saint Joseph’s hospital, Ottumwa, Ann Neal, United States Cadet Nurse, has been assigned to the Naval Hospital in Seattle, Washington, to complete her course.
Miss Neal went to Ottumwa Tuesday afternoon after spending a month’s vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Neal, in Greene, and is joining her roommate, Mary Virginia Wickenkamp of Sigourney, who also has been assigned to the Seattle hospital.
The girls will go together to the West Coast, where they will be training for four months.
