WOMEN IN SERVICE
Among the member of the Women's Airforce Service Pilot class receiving their silver wings and diplomas at Avenger field in Sweetwater, Tex, Saturday was Miss Alice M. Montgomery, daughter of Mrs. Winifred Montgomery, 120 North Dubuque street. Miss Montgomery, who has completed seven and a half months of flight training with the WASP's, is now home on furlough. Next week she will report for ferry command service at the army air base in Long Beach, Calif.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Miss Montgomery was engaged in personnel work for TVA in Knoxville, Tenn, before joining the airforce.
