Brothers and Sister in Navy
Alice Audrey Mehl, 21, of Hornick, Iowa joined the Waves recently and one of the first persons to assure her that she had entered what he considered the right branch of service was her brother Wayne, a yeoman first class, attached to the Navy recruiting station in Des Moines. He is a former Sioux Cityan. Alice is the fourth member of the Mehl family to enlist for military service. Her brother, Dwight of Ottumwa, is a third class yeoman and another brother, Boyd, is staff sergeant in the army air corps at Sioux Falls. They are the sons and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Mehl of Hornick, and the brothers and sister of G.W. Mehl, 3815 Seventh Avenue.
