Des Moines in the Services

Two Des Moines women have been graduate from naval training school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and have received their ratings. They are Jane Reinhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Reinhart, 2800 Stanton ave. radioman third class, and Patricia McAneney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.B. McAneney, 5275 Grand ave., seaman, second class. Both are members of the SPAR.

Miss McAneney Is Honored At Courtesies

Miss Patricia McAneney, seaman (f.c.) of the SPARS, who arrived last Tuesday from Long Beach, Cal., to spend a week's leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.B. McAneney 5275 Grand ave., has been a guest of honor at numerous courtesies during her stay in the city.

Engagement Announced

Mr. and Mrs. Fay Blaine McAneney, 5275 Grand ave., announce the engagement of their daughter, Patricia, petty officer, third class in the SPARS, to Aviation Cadet Prouty Linn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Linn, 3100 St John's road.

No date has been set for the wedding.

Miss McAneney is in the communications branch of the SPARS and is stationed at the district coast guard station at Long Beach, Cal. She was graduated from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

Cadet Linn is stationed a the the Waco Army air field at Waco, Tex., where he is taking pilot training. He was graduated from Northwestern university and is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
