More than Half of Iowa WACs Have Immediate Kin in Service

Des Moines - More than 50 per cent of Iowa women serving in the Women's Auxiliary corps come from families which has at least one other member on the service.

Lieut. Frances J. Love of Iowa City, a child welfare worker in civilian life, is now a personnel officer in the headquarters of the air service command at Patterson field, Fairfield, Ohio. Her father, Dr. Francis L. Love, served in the medical corps during World War I, when he rose to the rank of Lieutenant colonel. He began his military career with the 52nd Iowa infantry during the Spanish-American war and held a captaincy during the Mexican border clash. Two brothers are also in service, William F. Love, in the navy, and Staff Sgrt Hod Love at Will Rogers Field, Okla.

Lieutenant Love holds a degree from St. Mary-of-the-Woods college, Ind. and did post graduate work at the University of Iowa, She has worked in Des Moines and in Davenport as a child welfare worker. Prior to returning to Ft. Des Moines for officers training, Lieutenant Love had a six months tour of duty at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.

Frances J. Love Sener was born Aug. 28, 1913 to Francis Leonard and Frances Loretta Mullin Love. She died Nov. 23, 1992 in CA. She was married to William H. Sener.
