Des Moines -- Five recruits for the army's army auxiliary corps, sworn in at the recruiting station here Tuesday, included: Ioan Yenter, 24, Iowa City: Margery Pickett, 27, Mason City; Fannie Burkoff, 23, Waterloo; Mary Jane Larson, Whiting; and Naomi Van Steenberge, Burke.
Miss Yenter has been a state health department employee at Iowa City and Miss Pickett won first honours in the bassoon division of the state high school music contest in 1933. Miss Burkoff is a former beauty operator.

Mary Jane Larson Clowser was born Aug. 4, 1921 to Albert John and Della Taylor Larson. She died Mar. 2, 1988 in SD.
Mary Jane served in World War II with the U.S. Army WACs. She was married to Guy Benjamin Clowser.
