Two Carroll Girls Leaving for Naval Reserve Nurse Corps
Margaret Harrington and Eleanor Lafferty, registered nurses, who have joined the naval reserve nurse corps, are leaving March 9 for the Great Lakes Naval Training Stations, where they will remain for their training period. They are entering the service with the rank of ensign.
Both are graduates of the St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing. Miss Lafferty was graduated with the class of 1941, and Miss Harrington, 1942.
Miss Harrington is a daughter of Mrs. Anna B. Harrington. Her sister, Ensign Louise Harrington is also at the Great Lakes. Miss Lafferty is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Lafferty.

SENT TO ALASKA
Ensign Eleanor E. Lafferty, of the army nurse corps, who has been stationed at Glynco, Ga., has been sent to Alaska. En route to her new post, she spent ten days at Mare Island, San Francisco. Ensign Lafferty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Lafferty.

Eleanor Lafferty N.C., Promoted to Lieutenancy
Eleanor Lafferty of the navy nurse corps, has been promoted from ensign to lieutenant, j.g. Lt. Lafferty, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Lafferty, is at a naval air station in the Asiatic-Pacific theater.

Eleanor Lafferty's Marriage To Richard Queenan of Salem Massachusetts, Is Announced

Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Laffery announce marriage of their daughter, Lieutenant Eleanor Lafferty, of the Naval Reserve nurse corps, to Lieutenant (j.g.) Richard Queenan, U.S.N.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Queenan of Salem, Mass. The couple met on Attu, in the Aleutian Islands, when both were stationed there.
The wedding took place at St. Edward's Chapel, naval air station, Jacksonville, Fla., the morning of May 1. Chaplain Baird read the single ring ceremony.
