Des Moines in the Services
Two Des Moines women have been sworn into the WAC here. They are Grace Margaret Friel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Friel, 1021 Third st., and Lois Iola Kimpton, daughter of Mrs. Lela Stock, 1204 Arthur ave.

Married in Japan
Master Sgt and Mrs. George E. Kendrick are pictured following their marriage, Jan. 31, in Tokyo, Japan. Mrs. Kendrick is the former Lois I. Kimpton of Des Moines, a staff sergeant in the women's army corps, and daughter of Mrs. Lela Stock, 1204 Arthur ave.
Sergeant Kendrick is of Ruth, Cal. He is stationed with the 5th air force at Yakota army air base. The couple is living in Tokyo.
