Ten young women left yesterday for Hunter college, the Bronx, N.Y., to start their basic training in the WAVES. They enlisted during the special drive in the quad-cities last month.

HELEN KERKER MARRIED JANUARY 19

Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Kerker announce the marriage of their daughter, Helen Kerker Y 2-c, USN, to Private Joseph R. Poltis of Carney, N.J. on Friday, January 19th. Chaplain Byrnes officiated at the double ring ceremony. They are at home at 1222 - 11th St N.W., Washington D.C.
