Four Des Moines girls are now on duty in Washington, D.C., as WAVES. They are Anne King, daughter of Mrs Charles E. King, 711 Seventh st; Betty Jean Beverley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Beverley, 1315 Thirty-Third st; Roberta Carper, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert G. Carper, 11149 Twenty-eighth st; and Phyllis Kelso, daughter of Mr. J W. Kelso, Jr., 939 Thirtieth st. All hold the rating of yeoman, third class.

Mr. and Mrs J.W. Kelso, jr. 939 Thirtieth st., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Phyllis Elaine, and Warren Earl Sinclair, son of Mrs. Earl M. Sinclair, 1216 Twenty-seventh st. The wedding will take place in late November.
Miss Kelso is a graduate of Roosevelt High school and attended Iowa State college in Ames. Since her discharge from the WAVES, in which she served three years, she has been employed the accounting department of Meredith Publishing Co.
Mr. Sinclair was graduated from Iowa State college school of engineering. He served with the marines and is now employed in the methods department of Solar Aircraft Co.
