Davenporter Joins Women's Marine Corps
Miss Delores Kay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marks, 1102 East Rusholme street, has successfully passed the requirements for the Women's Marine Corps and will report to Hunter college in New York on May 17.
Miss Kay was formerly employed by Bawden Bros.
She is a graduate of Dubuque High school.

Home on Visit
Home on a 14-day furlough is Pfc. Delores Kay of the marine corps, who is visiting her mother, Mrs. John Marks, of 1102 East Rusholme street, Davenport.
Miss Kay is stationed with the fleet post office in San Francisco, Calif., and will return there on Jan. 25. A graduate of Dubuque high school,, she entered service in May, 1943. She was formerly employed at Bawden Bros., Inc.

Cpl. Delores Kay, USMC, has returned to San Francisco, Calif., where she is attached to the fleet postoffice, following a ten-day furlough which she spent with her mother, Mrs. John Marks, 1102 Rusholme street. She was accompanied by Cpl. Emily Sewell of Norfolk, Va, who is stationed with her at San Francisco.
Miss Kay's brother, Pvt Charles Kay, also of the marines, is at present hospitalized for illness somewhere in the South Pacific.
