Janet Jo Jefferis' Engagement Told
Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Jefferis, 1614 Third avenue SE, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lt. Janet Jo Jefferis of the WAVES, to F. Wendell McMeans, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.P. McMeans of Longview, Texas. The wedding will take place in June.
Lt. Jefferis has been stationed in Washington, D.C. for the last two years. She was graduated from Coe college.
Mr. McMeans received his navy discharge in October after four years services as a pharmacist's mate. He is attending the college of pharmacy a the University of Iowa.
