Ruth E. Howard, daughter of Rev. Clark W. Howard, 56204 S.W. Ninth st., has completed boot training in the WAVES at Hunter college, Bronx, N.Y and been assigned to advanced school at Oakland, Cal.

WAVE to Speak At MacRae Park
Ruth E. Howard, WAVES pharmacist's mate, third class, of Oakland, Cal. will be speaker at south side union vesper service at MacRae park at 5 p.m. Sunday. She is visiting her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Clark W. Howard, 6204 S.W. Ninth st.
The Fort Des Moines Methodist male quartet and children form the Jordan Methodist Vacation Bible School also will be on the program.

Ruth E. Howard, pharmacists' mate, third class, in the WAVES, stationed at the naval hospital in Oakland, Calif., has been at home on leave. She is the daughter of Rev. Clark W. Howard, 6204 S. W. Ninth st., pastor of the First Des Moines Methodist church.
