STARTS TRAINING -- Miss Millicent Hinich, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hinich, 1450 Adams avenue northwest, has received her call to report for active duty in the WAVES at Hunter college, New York, May 31. Miss Hinich has attended the Mason City schools and was graduated from Mason City high school. She has been employed by Jacob E. Decker and Sons. Miss Hinich will leave Mason City Saturday evening.

LOGGING IN --Millicent Hinich, seaman 2/c, on duty at the U.S. Naval air station at Ottumwa, is one of the Mason City WAVES. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hinich, 1459 Adams N.W., she entered training at Hunters college May 31 and was sent to the Ottumwa air base in July. Part of Miss Hinich's work is logging in the planes after trips aloft with cadets. WAVES are engaged in many jobs at the Naval Air station and logging in the planes is one of the most important jobs they do.
