Lorraine Grover Sworn Into Waves
Miss Lorraine Grover, 24, of 512 Independence avenue, sworn into the Waves last week as an apprentice seaman, Tuesday was awaiting call to active duty. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Grover, Frederika, Ia., and has been employed for two years by the Rath Packing company, where she is at present in the sliced bacon department. Miss Grover is a graduate of Fredericka high school.

FURLOUGH ENDS
Fredericka, Ia. -- Lorraine Grover, of the Waves, aviation machinist's mate third class, left Waterloo Friday night to return to the naval air station at Peru, Ind., after a three-day furlough with her parents here, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Grover and her sister, Fern Grover, at Waterloo.

Fredericka -- Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Grover announce the marriage of their daughter, Wave Lorraine Grover, to Marine William Denton, in a ceremony performed Apr. 12 at Bunker Hill, Ind., where both were stationed at the time.
