Betty Grelck, Manning, Enlists in WAVES
Manning -- Miss Betty Grelck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grelck, has joined the WAVES. Miss Grelck is believed to be the first girl from Carroll county to join this organization. She has passed her physical examination and has been sworn into the service. She is at present here awaiting her call to active duty. Miss Grelck, who is twenty years old, graduated from the Manning high school with the class of 1941

Manning -- Betty Jane Grelck (WAVE), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grelck, has been advance to pharmacists mate second class. She is stationed at the United States Naval Medical Supply Depot, Brooklyn, N.Y.
