Arletta Gonnerman, 311 Rhey street, who has been industrial nurse at Rath Packing Co.for the past two years, has been commissioned as an ensign in the navy nurse reserve and is now staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gonnerman, LaPorte City, until reporting Mar. 15 at Great Lakes, Ill.
Ensign Gonnerman, who was graduated from St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Ia., in 1942, was employed at Allen Memorial hospital for a short time. Her brother, Lt. (j.g.) Clarence J. Gonnerman, is taking specialist training in communication work at Harvard university, Cambridge, Mass., after completing a year's duty in the European theater of war.
