Sergt. Jane P. Dinges, of the marines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinges, 3816 Hunter ave., has been transferred to the Omaha procurement office. Sergeant Dinges took her boot training at Hunter college, Bronx, N.Y.

Marine Recruiters To Seek Women in C.R. Wednesday

On duty Wednesday at the Roosevelt hotel the women marines will attend strictly to the business of describing the work of their corps.

After hours it's a different story. They you will find Second Lt. Vivian A Rogers writing song lyrics and Staff Sgt. Jane P. Dinges working over the plot of her latest detective story.

An avid reader of murder mysteries, Sgt. Dinges decided back in the days she was attending Roosevelt high school, Des Moines, that she had a few ideas of her own. A product of her musing is the Paul Duncan detective agency whose activities for the plots for her stories. She has had several of her mysteries published, the last one in The American.

Staff Sgt. Jane P. Dinges, marine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Dinges, 3816 Hunter st, is stationed at headquarters, central procurement division, in Chicago, Ill.

Jane Dinges Is Married in San Francisco

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinges, 3816 Hunter ave., announce the marriage of their daughter, Jane Phyllis, to Douglas J. Sharkey, son of Joseph P. Sharkey of Elgin, Neb., which took place Sept. 8 in San Francisco, Cal. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Roy Milam at 2:45 p.m. in the First Baptist church.

Mrs. Sharkey was graduated from Roosevelt High school and the American Institute of Business. She served for three and a half years in the marine corps.

Mr. Sharkey was graduate from Elgin High school and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was with the army air forces three and a half years and served overseas with the 8th air force.

Mr. and Mrs. Sharkey have been visiting for a few days with the bride's parents. They left Monday to make their home in Elgin.
