Emma Louise Davis Is First WAVE Recruit During Present Drive
Emma Louse Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. (Waddy) Davis, 220 Sunset, was the first WAVE to be recruited in the Iowa City area during the present drive which opened here this week.
Miss Davis was sworn in at the Mt. Vernon navy base Wednesday and now is on inactive duty awaiting her orders to report to training station. She attended the university for two years where she studied physical education.

WOMEN IN SERVICE
Emma Louise Davis, pharmacist's mate third class in the WAVES, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Davis, 220 Sunset street. She will return Wednesday to the San Diego naval hospital, where she is stationed.
