Joins WAVES
Miss Marjorie Cameron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Cameron, 1213 College avenue, Davenport, will report Thursday at Cedar Falls, to begin training with the WAVES. She enlisted in the service on Dec. 9 and since that time has been awaiting call. Miss Cameron holds the rank of seaman first class.
She is a graduate of the Davenport high school and has recently been employed as a display artist for Petersen-Harned-Von Maur.

3 Davenporters Are Graduated by WAVES
Three young women from Davenport have completed their five week indoctrination course at naval training school, women's reserve, at Cedar Falls, Ia., and were included in the class of 1,029 WAVES graduated there today.
The Davenport trio include: Marjorie E. Cameron, 1213 College avenue; Ruth G. Peterson, 1454 West Ninth street and Lulu F. Wood, 1312, Farnam street.
