Dunkerton -- Pvt. Elsie I. Buehner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Buehner of Dunkerton, has completed training in the army clerk school of the First women's army corps training center at Ft. Des Moines.

Mr. and Mrs. Buehner's daughter, Elsie, joined the Wac July 11, 1944, took her boot training and eight weeks special training at Ft. Des Moines and is now stationed at Dugway proving grounds, Tooele, U. She was employed at an ordnance plant at Des Moines before her enlistment.

Dunkerton -- Elsie Buehner, a Wac, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Buehner, is home for a few days. She is with the chemical warfare section at Dugway Proving Grounds, U. Her brother, Mess Sgt. Alvin Buehner, is in Belgium and was the first one from this community to be drafted into selective service. He will have been in service four years March 10.

Dunkerton - Military services for Elsie I. Buehner, formerly a Wac, who died of a liver ailment at an Oakland, Cal. veteran's hospital last Tuesday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Methodist church. Rev. P.J. Allwell, pastor, will officiate. Pallbearers will be returned service men of World War II. The body will arrive at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Buehner, Tuesday afternoon and will remain there until the service. Family rites will be at the home at 1:30 Wednesday.

Elsie Izora Buehner was born Sept. 14, 1915. She died Nov. 27, 1945 and is buried in Fairview-Lester Cemetery, Dunkerton, IA.
