Men And Women In Service
Ensign Ethel M. Baron of the Waves has been assigned to active duty. She completed a course at Smith College at Northampton, Mass. to receive her commission. Ensign Baron is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Baron, 2222 Nebraska Street. She received her B.A. degree at Wellesley College, Wellesley, Mass Before entering the service she was in the general accounting office at the Michael Reese Hospital.

Ethel Baron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Baron, 2222 Nebraska Street, has been promoted from the grade of ensign to that of lieutenant (j.g.) in the Waves. She is communication officer at the naval base in San Diego. Lieut. Baron took her training at Smith College and upon graduation was commissioned an ensign and was first stationed at Santa Monica, California. Her brother Stanley (Sandy) Baron is an aviation cadet at the army air base at Santa Monica, California.
