John M. Zangerle was born in 1911 to Frank and Crescentia Schultz Zangerle. He died Feb. 15, 1945 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Portsmouth, IA.
Sgt. Zangerle served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA in the (ground) Battle of Manila.
