WILBUR WORK HURT IN ACTI0N
Marine of Sioux City Suffers Wound in Pacific Battle
Private First-Class Wilbur J. Work, serving with the marine corps in the south Pacific, has been wounded in action according to a telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur L. Work, 2805 Home street. After a battle he was removed from the front lines to a point where his brother, Frank J., a private also in the marines, was stationed. In a recent letter to his parents Frank did not attempt to state definitely what had happened but said that his brother was "getting along well.” Wilbur has been overseas 10 months and has been in service two months longer than Frank. Both received basic training at San Diego, Cal.
