Rodger Hornsby Woodall was born Oct. 10, 1926 to Robert Raymond and Beatrice Walk Woodall. He died Oct. 17, 1986 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Rodger served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946.

Funeral services for Rodger Woodall, 60, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Charles W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with flag folding services by the American Legion.
Mr. Woodall died Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Friends may call until the time of service.
Rodger Hornsby Woodall, son of Robert and Beatrice Walk Woodall, was born Oct. 10, 1926 at Alsey, Ill. He was educated there and in Chicago. He served in the Navy from 1943-46.
He moved to Webster City and was employed by Zitterell Mills until 1952, when he went to work for the city. He retired after 32 years in Jan. of 1965.
He married Veda M. Woodmansee on Jan. 31, 1953 at Webster City. Mr. Woodall served as a volunteer fireman for 32 years and was employed part time at Hunter Oil for more than 20 years.
Survivors are his wife; two sons and one daughter, Walter Rodger; Dennis of Webster City; and Denise (Mrs. Floyd) Berleen of Webster City; two grandchildren, Justin Woodall and Floyd (Jr.) Berleen; a sister, Dorothy (Mrs. Duane) Rusk of Webster City; two brothers, Samuel of Eagle Grove and Dick of Kamrar.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister and his parents.
Mr. Woodall was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, and the Iowa Fireman’s Association. He was a former board member of the municipal credit union and of the Webster City Coin Club.
