Marion Joel Wood was born Nov. 9, 1907 to John M. and Luva M. Chew. He died June 26, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France.
Sgt. Wood served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was MIA/KIA in the European Theatre. He served with the 526th Ordnance Maintenance Company and was awarded the Purple Heart.
