Glen A. Wonderlick


IN UNIFORM

Glen A. Wonderlick, water tender third class, 2001 28th Street, was on board the Pacific Fleet destroyer Bradford when it dropped anchor in Kagoshima Wan, Kyushu, near the Japanese Naval Airfield of Kanoya, to accept surrender and to occupy the area. Kanaya Airfield was the home port of many of the kamikazzes that caused much damage at Okinawa. The Bradford was on the picket line there.
